Becker Introducing Satin Finish Symphony Instruments
Becker Stringed Instruments is pleased to introduce satin finish instruments into our popular Symphony Series line. The new satin instruments are crafted in Romania from fine aged tonewoods with solid spruce top (violin/viola) or laminated body (cello/bass), lightly flamed maple back and sides, solid maple scroll, pegbox and neck, inlaid purfling, full ebony trim, and warm brown satin finish. All are equipped with D’Addario Prelude strings, four Wittner string adjusters and Wittner tail gut adjuster, with German machine heads and select European strings supplied on bass. All instruments are fully set up and shop adjusted at Kaman’s bowed instrument center to meet MENC specifications.
Symphony Series satin instruments are available in several outfit configurations, with choice of wood horsehair or Glasser horsehair bow, and choice of TKL Zero Gravity, SKB molded, SKB sculpted, or deluxe Becker oblong cases for violin/viola, and deluxe TKL bags for cello/bass.
